Best Blushes 2018 | Beauty
I love new beauty trends and new collections just as much as the next beauty lover, but deep down I am a blush obsessed girl to my very core! There is never a day that I go without adding a quick swish of a soft pink or peachy nude blush to add the perfect finishing touch. In my opinion blushes are never given enough attention especially when it comes to the latest beauty trends. But with the right shade and application blush can truly be magical! Blush can lift, sculpt, and accentuate your cheekbones. Most importantly with the right shade blush can give that highly desired youthful glow. I hope you enjoy my picks and be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss any future posts. {Questions? Feel free to comment at the end of this post} XO
Blush Texture {Which is right for you?} Powder, Cream, Gel, Stain, and Mousse.
Powder // This is the most practical option and easy to work with all year round. Application tool // I like to apply my blush with a long blending brush {My Favorite: MAC 137s} which allows me to control the intensity of the pigment and application.
Tip // {Powders are typically best for normal – oily skin but I have normal – dry and I still use powders}

Cream // Cream blush is one of my favorite products to use cause it gives your skin that dewy finish with a pop of color. Cream blush is typically sheer but buildable depending on the look you are going for. I set cream blush with a small amount of translucent powder **Insert Laura Mercier** which helps it to last throughout the day.
Application tool // You can apply cream blush using your fingers {the warmth of your hands allows it to melt and blend perfectly with foundation} You can also apply with a beauty sponge.

Gel // Perfect for ALL skin types. Going to the beach or just relax by the pool? This my go-to blush that will give you that perfect beachy glow. Super easy to apply with your fingertips to blend-and-go!!
Application tool // You can use your fingertips to apply. Can we say easy!? Just blend-and-go!!
Tip // Use a tinted moisturizer then apply a peachy nude gel blush.

Stain // Cheek Stains are by far the most pigmented and having the longest wear of all textures. It can come in a stick or liquid form but must be applied quickly and conservatively.
Application tool // Best applied with a synthetic brush
Tip // Apply a dot directly onto the apples of your cheeks and blend with synthetic brush.

Mousse // This is my least favorite texture. It is usually fluffy yet creamy. It can be whipped and lightweight. This is sheer but is buildable to create a more dramatic look.
Application tool // fingertips work best using a patting motion to blend.
Tip // Mousse works best for normal to dry skin types as it will disappear quickly on oily skin types.
